Several prominent bands including Shinedown, 311, Weezer and Manchester Orchestra will be performing at the Sandjam Festival in Panama Beach, Florida from April 24th to the 26th. Other prominent acts who will be performing at the festival include The Struts, Rival Sons, AJR, White Reaper, The Steel Woods, Sir Sly, Oliver Hazard and Judah & the Lion.
Shinedown will headline the first day of the music festival, while 311 and Shinedown will be headlining the next two days respectively. The festival curates a lineup around prominent alternative rock and hard rock acts, and takes place at the M.B. Miller Pier.
Sinedown released their project Attention Attention last year. As mxdwn reviewer Arnim Whisler explained: “The best part about Attention Attention is that despite the band’s gleeful bending of genres, they manage to keep every song authentic to its core, which is not an easy thing to do. No one has ever believed Shinedown to be a one-trick pony, but the few who did won’t be able to say that now.”
Weezer are set to join pop punk legends Green Day and Fall Out Boy for their 2020 Hella Mega tour. The band’s frontman Rivers Cuomo was joined by Democratic Presidential Candidate Andrew Yang during a performance of the classic Weezer hit “Say It Ain’t So.”
Manchester Orchestra are currently embarking on their Mean Everything to Nothing 2019 tour dates. The band began this set of shows at Honolulu, Hawaii and will finish up their shows in Worcester, Massachusetts. Grouplove, Foxing, O’Brother, Kevin Devine and Brother Bird served as supporting acts for the tour.
