Retox, a four-piece punk band from Los Angeles, are generating a lot of buzz. The group, who made their live debut months ago, have now joined Ipecac’s roster with the band’s debut album.The album, Ugly Animals, is set for an August release on Three One G/Ipecac Recordings.
The band members are Justin Pearson (The Locust, All Leather, Some Girls, Swing Kids), Gabe Serbian (The Locust, Cattle Decapitation, Holy Molar, Rats Eyes), Michael Crain (Festival of Dead Deer) and Thor Dickey.
Label co-owner Greg Werckman commented:
“These are world class musicians that push the envelope with everything they do. We think they are a perfect fit with our eclectic roster, fitting comfortably with other hardworking, original artists like the Melvins and ISIS.”
Retox’s next performance is June 25th at the Boulevard Cafe in Los Angeles.
