Alternative rock band, Cage The Elephant, has announced they have completed work on their upcoming album. Cage The Elephant is the rock group that created the worldwide hit, “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked” in 2009. The song skyrocketed the group to superstardom and was a launching point for their careers over the past decade. On Monday morning, the band announced through twitter that their next album was completely done with production, leading many to believe the group will soon begin releasing any singles or promotional material they have prepared for the project. Cage The Elephant’s last major project, titled Unpeeled, was released in 2017 and was a collection of the group’s older songs with a new production style. The songs themselves were said to be in their “unpeeled” versions. Prior to that, the group released their 2015 album Tell Me I’m Pretty, which brought fans the hit song “Trouble,” as well as various other strong tracks.
Since then, however, the group has been relatively quiet when it comes to new material. Despite the lack of new music, Cage The Elephant has remained fairly active, opening at a recent benefit concert with Metallica in San Francisco and performing at festivals throughout the summer. Fans have been hungrily waiting for the new album, with the announcement that it has been finished increasing the excitement around the band immensely. While there is little information as to when it will be released or even the style of the album itself, the group will most likely be keeping fans updated in the coming weeks as to any updates they are able to announce.
