Neil Young fans are in for a treat! According to SPIN, Young has more music that he wants to release with his band Crazy Horse. In the article, it states that Young said there are “four or five Crazy Horse albums that have never been heard, that are sitting there ready to come out.” The albums will be released soon though his Neil Young Archives digital library. In that same article, he also mentions that a 35-minute animated film will be released for his 1982 album Trans. He states that video was not made at the time was because of his record label, Geffen, “pulled the funding for the videos because they didn’t like the record.”
“Some people loved Trans; a lot of people, they were just lost.” “But without the [accompanying planned] video, it’s like really half of a letter, cut down the middle.” The guitarist recently released a soundtrack for the film Paradox, which he and his band Promise Of The Real starred in and was directed by Young’s girlfriend, actress Daryl Hannah.
Young is also set to play some festivals over the summer with The Promise of The Real including Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival in Saratoga Springs, NY, Arroyo Seco Weekend Festival in Pasadena, CA and the Quebec Summer Festival. His last album with Promise of the Real, Visitor, was released in December of last year.
