Two to make it true, Foo Fighters are opening for AC/DC’s Power Up tour once again! This time, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, The Power Up tour is once again surging now that the nor’easter has left the east coast.

Friday October 2nd will see the Foo Fighters joining AC/DC as the bands supporting act. NME tells us that the booking came up just three and half weeks after Foo Fighters stepped in to support AC/DC back on September 8th. According to Yahoo Entertainment, Foo Fighters will continue touring and hit Maryland and Connecticut before taking a month break from touring. November will see the band hit the sky to Australia.
For rock fans, seeing a pioneering band like AC/DC joined by a 90s favorite is a dream come true. Worlds collide. One could argue that a lot of rock, including Foo Fighters, is heavily influenced by definitive hard rock bands such as the likes of AC/DC. Songs like “The Pretender” have fast lead riffs that sort of resemble the intro riff to “Thunderstruck”. Dave Grohl has also voiced his excitement to play with AC/DC. The show is bound to be riveting and pulsing with energy.
