Death Cab for Cutie has just announced a North American tour in support of their album I Built You A Tower. The spring tour announcement comes as the band is on a world tour, currently making stops in the UK, with more dates across Europe and Australia in the coming weeks. They will return to New York on April 13th to perform at Radio City Music Hall!
Along with the tour announcement, the band has released a new animated music video for their song “Stone Over Water”. Directed by label mate Sean Solomon, the video follows a man experiencing a series of misfortunes throughout his day.
Death Cab for Cutie, fronted by Ben Gibbard, has garnered a lot of recognition over the past three decades. Songs from their 2003 album Transatlanticism were featured in the popular television show The O.C., and the album has been certified platinum by the RIAA. “I Will Follow You Into The Dark” from their following album Plans remains their most popular song and has been certified double-platinum. The single and album scored the band their first two Grammy nominations.
