Swedish pop sensation Tove Lo has released her highly anticipated sixth studio album Estrus via Pretty Swede Records/Virgin Music Group. The record arrives alongside her latest single “Source Of Life.” Lyrically, the song addresses the complexity of her desires as a modern day woman, reflecting on her lively independent spirit and how it clashes with her thoughts of a potential domestic future.
Speaking on the album, Tove Lo offered, “I think this album is fucking perfect. I wrote what I needed to write, not how I wanted to be perceived, and it feels like such an honest reflection of me — sexy, twisted, dark and full of contradictions. I’m so grateful to everyone who helped me bring it to life, and I feel incredibly lucky that I get to keep making music independently and on my own terms. I hope everyone who listens vibes deeply and sparkly with it — and I’ll keep making music and touring until my tits are in my shoes.”
Tove Lo is currently on tour supporting Estrus having kicked off the trek on September 15 with a show at The Pinnacle in Nashville, Tennessee and a concert in Chicago, Illinois at The Salt Shed on September 16. The U.S. leg is set to continue with stops in Brooklyn, New York on September 19, Toronto, Ontario on September 22 and Los Angeles, California on September 27.
Tove Lo will visit Mexico City on October 1 before heading out to the UK and Europe throughout November. Early next year, the singer is set to play in New Zealand and Australia. Special guests Mallrat, Rose Gray, Cobrah and Salty will be serving as support on various dates.
