Metal band Neurosis returns to the stage this fall. Their upcoming tour includes consecutive nights at Brooklyn’s Warsaw on October 30th and 31st.
Earlier this year, Neurosis dropped their first album in a decade. Recorded in Seattle and mixed in Oakland, An Undying Love for a Burning World marks a new era for the band. It features Neurosis’ newest addition, Aaron Turner (Isis, Sumac), on vocals and guitar. The band also enlisted Scott Evans (Kowloon Walled City, Sumac, and Great Falls) to help record the album following the death of longtime collaborator Steve Albini.
Neurosis’ return is heavily tied to their partnership with Firekeeper Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing suicide rates in Indian Country. In collaboration with Firekeeper Alliance, Neurosis released a short film that deals with the organization’s mission, titled We Are Torn Wide Open and Mirror Dee. The band also headlined the Fire In The Mountains festival earlier this summer, their first live performance in over seven years.
