Troye Sivan shares a title track “She’s the Best” for his up and coming album, which is set to be released on October 9th 2026. “She’s the Best” acts as a tribute to femininity by drawing a picture of a confident woman that is striving for the future. Through the spoken word vocal delivery, acting as a narrator telling a story accompanied by a trance like repetitive rhythm that builds to an energy fueled ending, giving the song a movie soundtrack or a cinematic feel that makes the listener follow the story.
The song is supported by a modern set music video with a retro aesthetic with colorful visuals that concentrate on green,blue and yellow color saturation. According to Slant Magazine, the music video pays homage to drag culture and trans women communities that celebrates gender fluidity and feminine energy that has been influential in Sivan’s life. Nicole Kidman makes an appearance as the mysterious woman that the plot follows throughout the music video.
The concept for the album is for Sivan to express his artistic side as well as his human more vulnerable side through his love of feminism. “She’s the Best” was written by Sivan and co-written and produced by Jack Antonoff and George Daniel. “She’s the Best” features Charli XCX at the very end of the song, making the build up have a great resolution at the end for the fans.
