Dinosaur Jr. Share Cool New Single & Video “Everything At Once”

There Near is officially here, and Dinosaur Jr. are celebrating with a new video for one of the album’s standout tracks, “Everything At Once.” The Amherst, Massachusetts legends released their 13th studio album today via Jagjaguwar, marking the sixth studio record the original trio of J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph have made since reuniting. Alongside the album, they’ve unveiled the video for “Everything At Once,” a loud, strange and surprisingly funny visual that feels perfectly matched to the band’s latest batch of songs. Directed, shot, and edited by Guy Kozak, the “Everything At Once” video follows a knight who seems to be dealing with the most ordinary problems imaginable, while wearing a full suit of armor.

Kozak’s concept places this historical figure into a very modern, everyday world. The knight is seen trying to keep his life together while dealing with things like walking his dog and mowing the lawn. It’s an intentionally strange contrast, and somehow it works incredibly well with Dinosaur Jr.’s music. As Kozak explained, he was interested in the “uncanny image” of something historical existing in a contemporary world. He also wanted to imagine what it would look like for a knight to be “knocked around” in combat before having to return to regular life. But yes, the armor looks ridiculously cool on camera.

Dinosaur Jr. have also announced an expanded North American tour, with shows scheduled throughout October and November before the band returns for another run in February and March 2027. The upcoming dates include stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Austin, New Orleans and more. The band will also return to Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto and Boston during the 2027 leg. The October and November dates will feature Stef Chura as a special guest, while the February and March shows will feature Starcrawler.

Before all of that, Dinosaur Jr. are spending this weekend in New York for a series of intimate shows presented in partnership with Fender. Following an overwhelming RSVP response that forced a previously planned Maria Hernandez Park performance to be relocated, the band will perform a free show at Tompkins Square Park today, August 28, followed by a show at TV EYE on August 29. It’s a pretty fitting way to kick off the next chapter: a new album, a bizarre new video, and a whole lot of very loud guitars. There Near is out now via Jagjaguwar.
