NEVER ENOUGH: VERSIONS arrives August 28, giving Turnstile’s Grammy-winning album a wildly unpredictable second life. Turnstile have never been particularly interested in staying in one lane, but their next release might be their most unexpected detour yet. The Baltimore hardcore band has announced NEVER ENOUGH: VERSIONS, a reimagined take on their 2025 album NEVER ENOUGH, arriving August 28. Rather than simply reissuing the Grammy-winning record, Turnstile have invited an absurdly eclectic group of artists to reinterpret material from the album.
And yes, that guest list includes Elton John and Dying Fetus on the same project. Also joining the party are Hayley Williams, Julien Baker, Blood Orange, Slayyyter, Four Tet, A.G. Cook, Alex G, Panda Bear, Faye Webster, Porches, Floating Points, Oklou, Shabaka, Dan Deacon, Angel Du$t, Kettama, Rod Lee, Mustafa, Nourished By Time, Chanel Beads and Brandon Woody.
One important detail: Turnstile have not yet publicly released the track-by-track listing for NEVER ENOUGH: VERSIONS. As of August 21, the announcement confirms the collaborators but does not say which artist appears on which song. Pitchfork likewise reported that the tracklist had not yet been shared.
For reference, these are the 14 songs from the original NEVER ENOUGH that the new project is reimagining:
- NEVER ENOUGH
- SOLE
- I CARE
- DREAMING
- LIGHT DESIGN
- DULL
- SUNSHOWER
- LOOK OUT FOR ME
- CEILING
- SEEIN’ STARS
- BIRDS
- SLOWDIVE
- TIME IS HAPPENING
- MAGIC MAN
The 16-date run begins September 9 in Milwaukee and features a different mix of support acts throughout the tour, including Ceremony, Thundercat, Hatebreed, Clipse, Vince Staples, Yves Tumor, Slayyyter, Pennywise, Cold World, Die Spitz and Texas Is The Reason. The band will also partner with local nonprofit organizations at each stop. The timing feels right. NEVER ENOUGH has already taken Turnstile from hardcore rooms to some of the world’s biggest festivals, and VERSIONS seems designed to keep that momentum moving rather than close the book on the album.
