This Friday at Red Rocks, Beabadoobee performed both released and unreleased trakcs from her upcoming new album Pylon, Stereogum shared. The album, which is slayed for release next month, boasts collaborations with Hayley Williams on “Nothing To Prove,” Brendan Yates on “Powerlines,” Matthew Healy and George Daniel of the 1975 producing on “Write Me A Letter” as well as contributions from Chino Moreno, Shane Moran and Evan Stephens Hall.
Her set opened with the album’s lead single, “Sun Has Set.” Later in the set, she performed an unreleased song titled “Memories.” During the encore, she played her recent single “Switchblade” as well as the album’s unreleased title track. “I’m really sorry if I fuck up. This is the first time I’m ever playing it,” she said when introducing “Pylon,” which she played solo on acoustic guitar. “I don’t know why I have to keep explaining myself. There’s a bunch of instrumentals, so it’s really short. So just imagine things are happening.”
