Brandon Flowers at Brooklyn Paramount on September 18th

On the road! Brandon Flowers heads out on a North American and European tour in support of his upcoming album, Thrasher (out on August 21st), this fall, arriving in NYC on September 18th for a show at Brooklyn Paramount.

Born in Las Vegas in 1981, Flowers is a founding member and singer/keyboardist of new wave revivalists The Killers (formed in 2001). The group burst onto the scene with 2000s alternative-rock anthem “Mr. Brightside,” the first single from 2004’s breakout album Hot Fuss. The song became a massive cultural phenomenon: it was played at just about every party you stepped foot in during the 2000s and beyond, became the most streamed song on Spotify in the 2000s, landed on multiple greatest songs lists, and holds the Guinness World Records for longest stay on UK singles chart by a group and the most cumulative weeks on the UK singles chart (416). The Killers were named the World’s Best Selling New Group at the 2005 World Music Awards, Best New Artist by MTV, Best International Band by NME, and the “best-selling new rock band of the past year” by Rolling Stone. Since 2004, The Killers have released seven studio albums, all of which (including Hot Fuss) have topped the UK Albums chart, making the band one of the most successful rock artists of the 21st century.

Amidst the massive success of The Killers, Flowers began his solo career in 2010 with his debut album Flamingo, which also landed top spot on the UK charts. The album drew heavy influence from Flowers’ experiences growing up in his hometown, opening with the track “Welcome to Las Vegas,” and featured a twangy, Americana sound. He debuted his solo act at the Shimmer Showroom that summer which was named one of the 15 Best Shows of the Summer by Spin Magazine, who also named his Flamingo Road Tour that fall one of the “25 Must-See Fall Tours.” In 2015, he put out his second full-length release, the new wave, synth pop leaning album The Desired Effect, which debuted at number one on the UK charts and was referred to as his best work since Hot Fuss. Now in 2026, Flowers prepares to release his third solo album, Thrasher, from which he has released the country-esque single, “Plans.”
