Attention Citizens! PRESIDENT will embark on their North American Campaign this fall, stopping in NYC for a rally at Brooklyn Paramount on September 10th with support from Cenobia and Showing Teeth.
PRESIDENT is an anonymous English metalcore band known for their ominous and transcendent sound that combines aggressive metal with elements of electronic music and R&B. The group consists of wrinkle-filled, plastic masked singer, The President, and black fabric mask-wearing guitarist Heist, bassist Protest, and drummer Vice. PRESIDENT was developed in secret before being announced as a performer at Download Fest in February 2025, immediately generating a massive amount of attention before releasing any music. Soon after, they created an instagram account and posted cryptic teasers for their first address, “In The Name of the Father,” released on May 15, 2025, which was named “Tune of the Week” by BBC Radio 1 and landed them on the cover of Rock Sound. Five days later, they announced their first headlining rally at The Garage in London for July 30th which sold out in 48 hours. They released their second address, “Fearless,” in early June before it came time for their live debut at Download Festival where they delivered a packed, fan-favorite performance that Kerrang described as “absolute pandemonium from the off.”
In September 2025, they independently released their self-produced debut EP, King of Terrors, and were announced as the headliner for TakeDown Festival 2026. Signing with Atlantic Records in February, the band’s first full length album, Blood of Your Empire, is set for a September 4th release through Atlantic records, which includes the crushing first three singles, “Angel Wings,” “DOOM LOOP,” and “Mercy.” The album will expand the narrative and mythology surrounding The President character which was created in reaction to the untimely death of the singer’s uncle. He explained in an interview with Revolver Magazine, “I saw so much comfort in religion. When that rug was pulled from beneath me, it left me feeling very vulnerable. That was the beginning of me going down this rabbit hole.” PRESIDENT aims to examine and dismantle “the complicated web of power structures that have remained ironclad for centuries, shaping both politics and religion alike” and finds strength in anonymity as a tool for achieving this goal. Praised for their thematic performances with an Eisenhower-era broadcast intro and a central double cross-bearing podium, as well as their immensely powerful sound and vulnerably honest lyricism, PRESIDENT’s time in office is just beginning.
