Wolf Alice The Clearing: Live from New York City at The Rooftop at Pier 17 on July 29th

Wolf Alice performs at When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas, NV on 23 October, 2022.

Wolf Alice returns to the U.S. this summer!! Before heading out on tour in support of Olivia Rodrigo, the award-winning British rock band embarks on a festival run in Europe and United States with a stop in NYC for an exclusive show on July 29th at The Rooftop at Pier 17.

Formed in North London in 2010 by singer Ellie Rowsell and guitarist Joff Oddie, the group began as an acoustic duo before expanding to a four-piece in 2012 with the addition of drummer Joel Amey and bassist Theo Ellis. The incredibly versatile band is known for their unique mix of aggressive grunge and ethereal dream-pop sounds as heard on their first three albums, My Love is Cool, Visions of a Life, and Blue Weekend, leading to immediate success with multiple music award nominations including BRIT Awards and Mercury Prize wins.

Their NYC show serves as a follow up to the highly-successful world tour they recently completed for their latest album, The Clearing, on which the band pivoted to a 70’s ‘soft rock’ sound inspired by artists like Fleetwood Mac and George Harrison. From the string filled cinematic opener, “Thorns,” to the driving folk rock hit, “White Horses,” the songs feature some of Rowsell’s most beautiful and personal lyrics and the band’s most impressive arrangements to date, solidifying them as “arguably the best British rock band of the last decade” according to Rolling Stone and leading to another BRIT Award win. Fans can expect an amazing show featuring theatrical stage design and a seamless blend of their newer material with the high-energy intensity of the songs that originally launched them to widespread fame.
