As sound and solidarity filled the Kia Forum, the Foo Fighters’ Los Angeles show became something bigger than just a concert. On January 14, 2026, in Inglewood, California, they delivered decades of fan-favorite hits while using the night to shine a light on Hope the Mission in partnership with the Los Angeles Mission. Held on Dave Grohl’s actual birthday, the show emphasized the power of community and giving back to each other. We all bleed the same blood, feel the same feelings, it’s important to uplift each other and help when people are down. And that’s what this show delivered – thousands upon thousands of fans of all ages packed the arena, creating an electric atmosphere so intense that merch booths sold out most of their inventory within the first hour and a half. Their performance was raw, powerful and unmistakably heartfelt; music with purpose. It was a night that celebrated not only the Foo Fighters enduring legacy and Dave Grohl’s passion for connecting people through music, but also the meaningful impact of Hope the Mission x Los Angeles Mission, proving that when rock and compassion come together, real change follows.

Zhi Zhi Burton-Flores: Hello, my name is Zhi Zhi. Working within the film industry, I’ve always been drawn to places that are rooted in community and collaboration. I got to see how every department had been interwoven together. Between wardrobe, makeup, crew and even crafty, we’d all relied on each other to bring the bigger picture to life. That kind of creative interdependent environment is where I feel most at home, and it reminds me a lot of what I see in local scenes through emerging artists and in the arts community in general. I’ve been surrounded by the arts for as long as I can remember, both through my own creative work as a BTS photographer on film sets and the music scene I grew up with which had been a mixture of punk rock, shoe gaze, reggae, indie, and classical that’s quietly shaped how I see and hear the world. I care deeply about supporting artists, learning from other creatives, and being part of something that uplifts the work people are passionate about. Right now, I’m especially excited to be on a path where I get to spotlight musicians, watch them thrive in their craft, and help document their stories.
