Portugal. The Man brought their Denali Tour to The Wiltern on Sunday and delivered a set that balanced new material with longtime staples. They opened the night with “Denali” and moved through fresh tracks like “Angoon,” “Knik” and “Shish,” all of which hit harder live with the band’s full lighting and rhythm section locked in. The crowd lit up for older favorites including “Got It All (This Can’t Be Living Now)” and “Modern Jesus,” and the band kept things loose between songs while still pushing the pacing forward. By the time they closed out the night with “Feel It Still,” the room felt fully in sync with them and it made for a memorable Sunday show in Los Angeles.
