Washington, D.C.-based rock band Shudder to Think will be making their long-awaited return to Chicago this fall for their first show in the city in over a decade. The influential group will be performing at Cobra Lounge on September 19th with special guests Weakened Friends.

The September 19th performance is part of a limited run of reunion shows marking the band’s first U.S. dates since their brief 2013 appearances. Originally formed in 1986, Shudder to Think became known for their boundary-pushing blend of post-hardcore and art rock, releasing iconic rock albums like Get Your Goat (1992) and Pony Express Record (1994). Their distinctive style and Craig Wedren’s unmistakable vocals made them a staple in the ’90s alternative scene, influencing countless artists across genres.

The show, held at the Cobra Lounge, is a part of Riot Fest’s official late-night aftershow series, giving festival-goers a chance to keep the energy going long after the park closes. Taking place in the middle of a stacked weekend of performances, the set will offer a one-night-only opportunity to see the band in a different setting from their festival slot.

Don’t miss your chance to see Shudder to Think’s long-awaited Chicago return at Cobra Lounge on Friday, September 19th. Tickets are available now at CobraLounge.com.
