The Swell Season, a duo most known for their success with the Oscar-winning film Once, have decided to tour this upcoming year. According to Bringmethenews, the duo hasn’t performed continually since winning their Oscar for the song “Falling Slowly”. In 2023, Markéta Irglová and Glen Hansard released new music, after not having done so in over a decade. Prior to this release, they had set out on their 15th-anniversary tour. This past week, they announced that they will be back for a North American tour in 2025. The tour will start in Vienna at the Wolf Trap, on July 11th this upcoming summer. After Vienna, the duo will hit many cities in the States, and finish off the tour in Georgia at The Woodruff Arts Center on August 2nd. Presale tickets for the tour went on sale yesterday, December 11th. Meanwhile, tickets for the general public will go on sale tomorrow, Friday, December 13th.
