Gillian Welch and David Rawlings just released their 10th studio album, Woodland, back in August. In support of the album, they have announced a new run of 2025 tour dates. The tour is set to take off on November 20th in Louisville, and round up on May 22nd in Nashville. Woodland was just recognized for a ‘Best Folk Album’ Grammy nomination this past week. Before 2024 ends, the duo has a 15-date tour scheduled and will finish it up in Virginia on December 8th, before 2025 begins. Welch and Rawlings also have an Australian tour set for early 2025, which will consist of a three-night stand at the Sydney Opera House. According to Brooklyn Vegan, tickets to the tour go on sale today, Friday November 15th, while pre-sale occurred on November 12th. There will be multiple New York shows, one at Carnegie Hall on May 7th, another at Kingston’s Ulster Performing Arts Center on November 30, and final one at Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre on December 5th. Tickets to the Carnegie Hall show on May 7th are still on sale, and selling for as cheap as $110 USD.
