The English rock band formed in Manchester in 1991, is returning not only to the UK, but the U.S as well. The band, most known for (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, which sold over twenty-two million copies worldwide, is making a much anticipated comeback. Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher have been in a feud for years, which has left band mates, and fans, in a grieving period. The last time Oasis performed together was at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris on August 28th, 2009. Following this performance, the band split up, and Noel went on to join his own band in 2010, known as High Flying Birds. From that point on, he continued to tour and eventually went on to create a solo album, and toured for that album this past year. Along with planning to tour the UK and Ireland, the band is also set to take on dates in North America and South America. As this is a much anticipated return and resurrection of what we may consider, Rock and Roll history, tickets are selling fast and are quite costly. Though I had the pleasure and luck of acquiring tickets to the MetLife show, it seems all tickets are sold out at the moment. It is unclear whether or not more shows will be added. But either way, seeing both brothers on stage again together, is a show in and of itself.
