Billy Gibbons, a master of the blues genre and the lead vocalist of acclaimed blues rock band ZZ Top, is set to go on tour with The BFGs. They will perform in Chicago at Park West on Feb. 1, 2025, in honor of the 10th anniversary of their joint album, Perfectamundo.
Billy F. Gibbons is renowned for his work in the music industry. He was born and raised around music and adopted those skills early in life. Much of his family was involved in the industry in one way or another whether that be behind the scenes, playing instruments, or on stage.
He began his career as a member of the band Moving Sidewalks, where he contributed to the album Flash(1969). He was also an opener for the Jimi Hendrix Experience and the founder and lead vocalist of the ZZ Tops, which was formed in 1969. Their first album, ZZ Top’s First Album, was released a couple of years later, in 1971.
Billy Gibbons has a long and plentiful list of works including solo work, band work, and collaboration work. With the ZZ Tops, he participated in the production and release of 22 albums, 10 singles, and one EP. Throughout his more recent solo career, he has produced and released two studio records, and four singles. Billy Gibbons and the BFGs have released just one album in 2015.
