Regina Spektor set to perform at Warsaw on December 8th, 9th, and 10th, following Songs release

Regina Spektor, the Russian-born American singer, songwriter, and pianist is coming to Brooklyn this December. The indie star is greatly known for her imprint on the indie scene in the early 2000’s. Her debut was her first album Soviet Kitsch which was released in 2003, and was soon followed by Begin to Hope in 2006 with breakout hits like ‘Fidelity’. Her most recent project is set to release on November 29th, and is a special kept memento of songs that Spektor made on Christmas day of 2001. With both first two albums being a huge success, Songs seemed to fall back into the shadows. Although she has decided to release the album, just in time for her 3 night run at Warsaw in Brooklyn. According to Billboard, “It’s shame, since Songs is something of a lost masterpiece: the work of an idiosyncratic talent bursting with ideas, pithy observations, humor and pathos about the overwhelming yet inspiring minutiae of life.” It seems that this album is exactly what we need to transport us back to the sound and the nostalgia that coincided with the indie rise in the early 2000’s, a time where we met Spektor, and rejoiced in her abilities. We are lucky enough to not only be given a flashback of time with Songs, but to also be blessed with three nights in a row of Spektor in New York. Tickets to the Sunday December 8th show at Warsaw are still on sale, and selling for $182 USD. for GA Stand Floor tickets. Meanwhile, the December 9th and 10th shows are sold out, so it is in all of our best interests to act quick!
