Slayers’ Kerry King will be at Irving Plaza on Friday February 7th

Kerry King, the guitarist from Slayer, has announced his first ever solo tour, which will take off in January of 2025 and lead into February. The tour will consist of a 28-concert run, including Slayer drummer Paul Bostaph. King also plans on being accompanied by Municipal Waste and Alien Weaponry at Irving Plaza on February 7th. The band will be playing longer sets than they did on the last tour, and are supporting King’s most recent debut album From Hell I Rise. According to the New York Post, King said he may put an extra Slayer song on the setlist and learn cover song or two. From Hell I Rise, the 13 song album, hit shelves on May 17th 2024 and is being labeled as ‘ear candy’ for all metal and rock fans. The band members will be quite busy on the road, as they will also be accompanied by “Death Angel‘s lead vocalist Mark Osegueda, Machine Head/Vio-lence‘s guitarist Phil Demmel and HELLYEAH‘s bassist Kyle Sanders on the road.” Tickets to the Friday night show at Irving Plaza are still on sale, and selling for as cheap as $58 USD. for General Admission Floor.
