Fontaines D.C. at The Salt Shed on Oct. 9

Fontains D.C. kicks off their North American tour in celebration of the release of their highly-anticipated fifth album, ROMANCE. They are set to take the stage at The Salt Shed on Oct.9, 2024, with opener Been Stellar.

This Irish punk-rock band consists of vocalist Grian Chatten, guitarists Carlos O’Connell and Conor Curley, bassist Conor Deegan III, and drummer Tom Coll. The members met while attending college in Dublin and started by writing poetry. Once they began to perform, Fountains D.C was born.

They released their first pieces of music in 2018 with four singles, including “Liberty Belle.” The next year, they went on to release their first studio album, Dogrel, with Partisan Records.

Their full discography comprises five albums, 18 singles, and 1 EP.

Their newly released album, ROMANCE, which dropped in August of this year, is thought to be one of their most expansive records. It is their most ambitious project yet, with 11 tracks that were brought to life by the band’s ideas.

The band is known to be one of the pioneers of the new generation of the punk-rock genre. Since 2018, they have taken off running and haven’t stopped.

Fontains D.C. will be performing in Chicago at The Salt Shed. The show will be held on Oct. 9 with opener Been Stellas.
