Refused: The Farewell Tour at the Salt Shed on Mar. 25, 2025

Refused, released the dates of their Farewell Tour with the simple words “Refused Are Fucking Dead” in big, bold letters on their website. Refused is set to take the stage in Chicago one last time at The Salt Shed on Mar. 25, 2025, with opener Quicksand.

Swedish hardcore punk band Refused has been around since the 90s. The band was formed in 1991 by vocalist Dennis Lyxzén, guitarist Kristofer Steen, drummer David Sandström, and bassist Magnus Flagge. Jon Brännström was the band’s guitarist starting in 1994 but was later let go in 2014.

Their first album, Everlasting, was released in 1994. The same year they churned out another studio album called, This Just Might Be the Truth (1994). In total, they have released seven albums, their most recent being in 2019. They have also released two EPs and five singles. Their most recently released music was a single called, The Malignant Fire, released in 2020

Refused is a traditional punk band. Through their lyrics, they express nonconformist and politically left ideology. Comparatively, their music goes against the grain but in the punk scene, they fit right in.

30 years after the release of their first album, Refused is all set to go out with a bang during their farewell tour.
