John Henry’s Friends Benefit Concert is coming to The Town Hall on November 4th

The 10th annual John Henry’s Friends Benefit is taking place November 4th at Town Hall. The event is benefitting Keswell School and has been put together by City Winery and Steve Earle. Steve Earle is best known for his country music as a singer/songwriter, and his discography with his band, The Dukes. He is also a published writer and a political activist, which shines through in his song ‘Ellis Unit One’, a lyrical piece that protests against the death penalty. According to Vogue, “Earle also had small roles on the HBO television shows “The Wire ” and “Treme “. At the event there will be performances from Steve Earle, Jackson Browne, Margaret Glaspy, Larry Campbell, and Teresa Williams. According to Pollstar’s Boxoffice, Earle recently performed in Verona, New York and Virginia. Both dates grossed $26,365 and $32,500. VIP packages will also be offered for the show, ranging from $250 – $8,500. These proceeds will go to The Keswell School, an educational program for children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Tickets to the event are still on sale, and selling for as cheap as $89.50 USD.
