Jane’s Addiction at the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom on Sept. 24

Jane’s Addiction is set to perform in Chicago on Sept. 24 at the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom. They will be joined on stage by opener Love & Rockets and Crawlers.

Los Angeles-based band, Jane’s Addiction, was formed in 1985 by frontman Perry Farrell on vocals, Dave Navarro on guitar, Stephen Perkins on drums, and Eric Avery on bass. Through the years, they have had many members come and go from the band but these four members have stayed true.

They were pioneers in making alternative rock mainstream in the music industry. Their album, self-titled Jane’s Addiction (1987), took off running and immediately became a commercial success.

They were the founders and creators of Lollapalooza, the Chicago-based rock music festival in 1991. As a result of this, they have a special place in Chicago’s heart.

Since then they have released eight more albums, their most recent being in 2017. They have also released one EP and two singles. Their most recent single, Imminent Redemption, was released just this past year in July of 2024.

From the title of the single, we can infer a comeback for the band is set in motion. That is what this tour is meant to be.

On Sept. 23, 2024, Jane’s Addiction will take the stage at the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom with openers Love & Rockets and Crawlers. Live Nation performs and tickets can be purchased now directly through their website LiveNation.com
