Cigarettes After Sex: X’s World Tour at United Center on Sept. 23

On Sept. 23, 2024, Cigarettes After Sex is set to take the stage at the United Center. There is typically no opener for a CAS tour.

This band is known for its influence in the shoegaze and pop genre. They got their start in El Paso, Texas when they were founded by Greg Gonzalez in 2008.

Current members include Gonzalez on vocals, electric and acoustic guitar, Randall Miller on bass, and Jacob Tomsky on drums.

Gonzalez was vital in the recording and release of their first EP,  I. (2008).

Their discography includes three studio albums, starting with their first, Cigarettes After Sex, released in 2017, Cry, in 2019, and X’s released just this past year in July of 2024. They also have 16 singles and one EP.

Since their start, they have set a precedent for slow and dreamy music while containing serious themes.

Cigarettes after sex is coming to Chicago on Sept. 23. They will perform at the United Center in honor and celebration of their most recently released album X’s. LiveNation puts on the show
