PJ Harvey is set to perform at the Salt Shed (indoor) on Sept.30, 2024. She will be joined on stage by bandmates John Parish, Jean-Marc Butty, Giovanni Ferrario, and James Johnston
Harvey has been making music since the late 80s. She began her music career in 1988 when she joined the band Automatic Dlamini. The frontman of this band was vocalist John Parish, now a member of her current band.
Soon after that in 1991, she formed a trio called PJ Harvey. Together they released two albums, Dry (1992), and Rid Of Me (1993). The trio disbanded but Harvey continued in her music pursuit and became a solo artist.
Her career has been long and plentiful. In total, she has released 25 albums, her most recent being I Inside The Old Year Dying in 2023. She has also released 17 singles.
As much as she is known for her bluesy and hard-edged vocals she is also known for her skill with instruments. She is a master of not only the guitar but also the piano, autoharp, and saxophone.
From the 90s till now, PJ Harvey has continuously brought music to life through her albums. She will be performing in Chicago on Sept.30. Her show will be held at the Salt Shed (indoors).
