Live Review: The Osees, Warblob and Zig Zags at the Bellwether

On August 30, 2024, the greatness of pure rock unfolded at the Bellwether where fans gathered to experience the electrifying force of the exclusive American rock band called The Osees in Los Angeles. The band, featuring John Dwyer, Tim Hellman, Dan Rincon, Paul Quattrone and Tomas Dolas delivered a powerful and unforgettable event of the night. Their performance left the crowd in an ecstatic frenzy with their unmatched energy and talent.
On a cool summer night, the anticipation buzzed as many fans eagerly lined up outside the venue. They were overjoyed with happiness and excitement long before the doors even opened. Once the audience entered, they were welcomed into a dimly lit, intimate setting. The soft lights and blue glow created a captivating atmosphere, while the background was surrounded by darkness. Besides the stage and floor, the venue included distinct areas such as the patio, balcony, VIP Glass Lounge and restaurant lounge. The scenery was wonderful and perfect for people to sit, relax, and enjoy the moment that has yet to come.

It started with a rock band called Warblob, in which they electrified the crowd with a dynamic, high-energy performance. The pair, between the vocalist’s raw intensity and the members’ aggressive blend of drums and guitars, prepared the audience to get ready for the next act of the night. After Warblob left the stage, the next rock band to perform was Zig Zags, who effortlessly maintained the flow of energy in the room. Their powerful mix of drums, guitars and screaming/belting vocals kept the adrenaline pumping — adding to the suspense for the headliners.

As Zig Zags wrapped up, the excitement reached its peak. Fans crowded the floor and balcony, ready to witness the moment they had been waiting for: The Osees. The band’s entrance was met with wild cheers everywhere and phones capturing the special and exciting moment. The Osees, led by the charismatic John Dwyer, launched into their set with a fervor that shook the room, leaving the crowd speechless and hyped up. Their performance was a masterclass in rock. They ignited the crowd by playing their hit songs like “Tidal Wave,” “The Static God,” “C,” “Sticky Hulks,” and “The Dream/The Daily Heavy.” The stage lighting shifted to different colors in each song, enhancing the mood and amplifying the intensity of the performance. Fans were fully immersed in their music. They were bopping their heads, dancing, jumping, running around, singing along and even crowd surfing in sheer joy.

During their performance of “Sticky Hulks,” the band’s professionalism shone through when John was experiencing technical issues. The Osees never stopped playing and continued on with steady energy, patience, a positive attitude and focus — without missing a single beat as John quickly addressed the problem. Throughout the 26 songs, the band didn’t show any signs of exhaustion to the crowd at all. It was truly impressive that the audience was awestruck by their stamina, determination and talent.

After the Osees finally wrapped up, the night ended with fans leaving the Bellwether with smiles, unforgettable memories and new merchandise. Overall, The Osees delivered a mind-blowing, throbbing and iconic performance. It’ll be remembered as one of the great rock experiences in history. For anyone who loves music, especially rock, The Osees live event is a definite must-see. As they’ll be touring around in the U.S., many can go visit and see for themselves by attending their shows.
