Peter Hook & The Light at the Riviera Theater on Sept. 7

Peter Hook & The Light are taking the stage at the Riviera Theater on Sept. 7, 2024.

English singer/songwriter Peter Hook is well known in the music industry as the bassist and co-founder of the punk band Joy Divison and its successor, New Order.

Hook has been making and releasing music since the late 70s when Joy Division released their first studio album, Unknown Pleasures, in 1979. The following year, the band released another album before lead singer Ian Curtis passed away.

That is when the formation of New Order was formed. From 1981 to 2023, the band has continued to make music.

Hook and The Light have been releasing music together since 2010. Their albums include reworked, remasters, Joy Division, and New Order music. Their most recent release was in 2022 with an album called “Joy Division: A Celebration (Live)”

This tour comes with many surprises for Joy Division and New Order fans. Peter Hook and The Light will be performing “Performing both ‘Substance’ albums by Joy Division & New Order.” according to their website.

Peter Hook & The Light are coming to Chicago on Sept. 7, 2024. They will be performing at the Riviera Theater. Tickets can be purchased through AXS AXS.com
