Local H at Metro Chicago on Oct. 16

Local H will be coming to Chicago with a performance on Oct. 16 at Metro Chicago. This is for their “What Happened to P.J. Soles?” 20th-anniversary show. Chicago is the last stop on the North American tour.

This alternative rock band met in Zion, Illinois in high school in 1990. The original members consisted of guitarist Scott Lucas, bassist Matt Garcia, drummer Joe Daniels, and lead guitarist John Sparkman. The band was originally named Rude Awakening by Lucas and Garcia in 1987

As time went on, the number of members dwindled until it was just Lucas and Daniels. Then they introduced Brian St. Clair into the band in 1999. He played for the band until 2013. After that, Ryan Harding became the band’s drummer and as of current standing, the band is a duo of Lucas and Harding.

Through all the ups and downs and member changes, the band released 12 studio albums, starting in 1995 with their first record, Ham Fisted. They have also released two singles and two Eps.

In 2004, the band released an album titled, Whatever Happened to P.J. Soles. This album is the reason for their upcoming tour. On Sept. 13, 2024, the band is remastering and rereleasing this album.
