TLC is coming to Chicago during a wave of reunion performances on Aug. 31, 2024. They will be performing at the Ravinia Pavilion with special guest Shaggy.
This 90s rap and hip-hop group got their start back in 1990 in Atlanta, Georgia. The band consists of a trio of female rappers by the names of Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas. As of 2024, the only member not participating in the group is Left Eye Lopes.
Their first studio album, Ooooooohhh… On The TLC Tip, released in 1992 alongside their EP Baby-Baby-Baby (remixes). They have since released 5 EPs, including their most recent record which dropped in 2023, Wat3rfalls (TLC version). They have also released 15 singles and five albums.
Their second studio album, Crazysexycool, released in 1994, became an immediate success. All four of the singles that were released for that record made the Billboard Hot 100 that year.
They have sold over 65 million records worldwide holding the title of the best-selling girl-group of all time. They are known for their top hits “Waterfalls” which was featured on their second album, Craxysexycool, in 1994, and “No Scrubs” which was their number one hit on their third album, Fanmail, released in 1999.
TLC is gracing the stage at the Ravinia Pavilion in Highland Park this summer on Aug. 31, 2024. This reunion tour is a once-in-a-blue-moon opportunity. They will also feature special guest, Shaggy. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster. ticketmaster.com
