On August 13th, Baker announced that she will be playing three shows at Webster Hall, on October 5th, 6th, and 7th of this year. A 2016 New Yorker article stated that, “she believes in God, says she has “encountered the tangible manifestation of God,” and says that she tries to leave space for God to enter the room whenever she opens up her throat.” It is obvious that some sort of higher power is fueling the godly voice and mind of Julien Baker. With multiple festival performances scheduled and North American tour dates, Baker proved to her fans that she has more in store for them after this announcement. The solo tour is set to kick off on September 23rd with three-night residency in Chicago and end in Los Angeles on October 28th. After that, Baker will finish off with yet another three-night residency, at London’s EartH. Julien was most recently recognized for her single “The Lengths” with Calvin Lauber, which was the theme for the thriller series, Orphan Black: Echoes. Tickets to the residency at Webster Hall are still on sale and selling from $75 to $275 USD.
