Album Review: Teen Daze – Elegant Rhythms

Allow Teen Daze, Elegant Rhythm to speak true, and take the journey through a soothing, electronic yet meditative experience. Released on August 2nd, 2024, this album showcases Teen Daze’s signature style, highlighting the ability to use minimalist beats to create such deep introspection.

Opening up the album is “Backyard,” a rather playful track that maintains its serene melodies and invites listeners to ease into the meditative journey that lies ahead. There is a sense of simplicity, where this track perfectly captures the essence of those peaceful moments surrounded by nature. The vocals assist in the storytelling and blend in seamlessly to match the simplistic sound of the instruments.

Continuing that electric melody with a twist is “We’re out of phase again.” This track specifically stands out due to the synthesized vocals. The background is less electronic-sounding in terms of instruments and sounds, but the vocals are what brings out that trance-like state of mind.

Track number 5, “Fade away” has a similar “trance-like” essence to it. There are other hints of electronic sounds throughout this song that complement the slowed-down beat and bring elements of uniqueness. The vocals blend into none other than a soothing outro to finish off this track.

Each track brings its own personality to the album while sticking to the central themes of downtempo and Balearic-like tracks.
