Alessandro Cortini at Empty Bottle on Oct. 5

Alessandro Cortini, a multi-talented musician and longtime performer, will be at Empty Bottle on Oct. 5, 2024. 

 

Born and raised in Bologna, Italy, Cortini is known best for his work with modular synthesizers. Not only that, but he also plays the guitar, bass and keyboard for the sensational rock band, Nine Inch Nails starting in 2005. He also formed the band Modwheelmood in 1990. 

 

He is a deeply seasoned artist. He has done many collaborations including notable artists like Christina Aguilera and Ladytron. 

 

His solo work is plentiful. He started producing albums as a stand-alone artist in 2013 with his very first studio album, Force 1. Since then, he has released 13 albums including Emosfere, which was released just this past year in January. He has also released 11 singles and three EPs. 

 

Cortini was the first Italian inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020. 

 

His solo works are mostly, if not exclusively instrumental and electronic. He is known for his work in industrial rock, synth-pop, and electronic music. His discography is versatile and evolved.
