Imagine Dragons illuminated Zach’s Bay and the Atlantic, during their August 2nd set at Jones Beach Theater

The newly renovated Jones Beach Theater hosted Imagine Dragons this past Friday night. Dan Reynolds, Wayne Sermon, and Ben McKee didn’t let the light rain and storm clouds stop them or their set. The band has won three American Music Awards, nine Billboard Music Awards and one Grammy, MTV Music Award, and World Music Award. Constantly surfacing the charts at top 100 and making their successes an on-going cycle, it was evident they’d perform to the standards they have achieved. The band had Myles Smith, English singer and songwriter, join them on stage for their fifth concert tour. With Reynolds wanting a strong focus on the lyrical background of their third studio album, Evolve, Loom offered a shorter album with a new style. According to the Digital Journal, the most sentimental part of the show happened with Reynold’s audience work. He shared a glimpse into his childhood and how music and song writing allowed him to let his emotions and sufferings evolve into an art form. He uplifted the crowd and reminded everyone that the beauty of life is in the struggle, and how lucky we are as humans to learn and grow from the pain. He shared, “There will be brighter days ahead, I promise you. There will still be hard days; it’s not a remedy, but it’s part of our journey,”. A night on the water, next to Imagine Dragons, was definitely the medicine that those souls graciously received and needed on Friday night.
