Black Pumas set the vibe at Brooklyn Paramount on July 30th

Following their second studio album released in 2023, Chronicles of a Diamond, Black Pumas have shown a vocal transformation and improvement that no one was expecting. After their first album, Black Pumas, released in 2019, it seemed as though we heard it all. From their strong vocal dynamics and their seven Grammy award nominations, it was evident there was power in the duo. Eric Burton is known for the singing and songwriting, while Adrian Quesada acts as the guitarist and producer. The duo successfully craft a jazz, soul, and Funkadelic/cosmic enchantment around their songs. The band previously paid a visit to New York back in January, at Radio City Music Hall. Burton seems to carry on his charismatic and electric presence on stage, with powerful crowd work and a strong bond to Quesada, never losing touch of their beat. Burton managed to own the crowd at Brooklyn Paramount, this past Tuesday night and left the crowd speechless, and airborne. His crowd work drew him off the stage and straight into the audience, connecting with them in ways that amplified the performance even more. Lucky for us, It is obvious that the funk doesn’t leave the Black Pumas orbit.
