Justice just rocked their set at the new and improved Brooklyn Navy Yard. The French electronic duo, including Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay released their debut album Cross in June of 2007. Their new album Hyperdrama was released in April of this year and features artists like Tame Impala, Miguel, and more. According to Variety, Brooklyn Storehouse which was used for shipbuilding, has been transformed into a 104,000 square-foot, 5,000-capacity venue by British nightlife operation Broadwick and New York events company TCE Presents. The venue is so spacious, that it seemed to be the perfect ambience for Justice’s show. The band’s famous hits like “D.A.N.C.E.” felt electric on the dancefloor along with beat drops that were complimented by lighting techniques throughout the venue. Justice, who didn’t start playing till around midnight and we’re still playing 90 minutes later, definitely did not disappoint. Their vintage funk disco seems to have a strong rock influence accompanied with some indie tones. It seems the Brooklyn Navy Yard was the perfect eclectic match to the sound and nostalgia that the duo brought to the crowd.
