Twenty One Pilots at the Oakland Arena on August 24

Global phenomenon, Twenty One Pilots, have announced a world tour in support of their upcoming album, Clancy! The duo will be making a stop in Oakland at the Oakland Arena on August 24.

Comprised of lead singer Tyler Joseph and drummer Josh Dun, Twenty One Pilots originally formed in Columbus, Ohio in 2009. Originally the project of Joseph and some Ohio State friends, Dun would join the group following the departure of the band’s old members and the release of their self-titled debut album. The band would release their sophomore album, Regional at Best, in 2011 with the new lineup.

Twenty One Pilots began to see some success with the release of their third album, Vessel, in 2013. The album featured hit songs “Car Radio” and “House of Gold,” allowing the band to chart and secure spots opening on some high profile tours. The band received the most viral success with their fourth album, Blurryface, which included smash hits, “Stressed Out” and “Tear in My Heart.”

Since the success of Blurryface, Twenty One Pilots have only continued to grow larger with each of their albums being accompanied by arena tours and additional hit songs. The band’s upcoming album, Clancy, is set to release on May 17 and will serve as the conclusion to the fictional narrative that has spanned across their last three albums.
