PJ Harvey at The Masonic on October 10 & 11

English singer-songwriter, PJ Harvey, has announced a set of fall 2024 North American tour dates! She will be making a stop in San Francisco for two nights at The Masonic on October 10 and 11.

Polly Jean Harvey is best known for her unique and critically acclaimed blend of rock, folk, and punk music. She is most widely appreciated as a vocalist and guitarist but is also proficient on a number of other instruments including the saxophone and autoharp. Harvey got her start as the vocalist in a local Bristol band called Automatic Dlamini. The group only last for three years from 1988-1991 but it built Harvey connections that would enable her to start her new band, the PJ Harvey Trio soon after Automatic Dlamini disbanded. The PJ Harvey trio released two albums, Dry in 1992 and Rid of Me in 1993. Both herald by critics, the group would disband soon after Rid of Me‘s release and Harvey would go on to start her solo career.

PJ Harvey has released seven additional studio albums since the break-up of her trio, including the widely acclaimed, Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea, in 2000 and her most recent project, I Inside the Old Year Dying, in 2023. Harvey’s discography has garnered her eight Grammy Award nominations and two Mercury Prize wins.
