Chromeo at The Warfield on September 11

Canadian electro-funk duo, Chromeo, have announced a massive world tour in support of their brand new album, Adult Contemporary! They will be making a stop in San Francisco at The Warfield on September 11.

Chromeo is the Grammy Award nominated brain child of guitarist/vocalist David Macklovitch aka Dave 1 and multi-instrumentalist, Patrick Germayel aka P-Thugg. The duo began creating music together as Chromeo in 2002 after meeting in high school during the mid 1990s. They would work together on a number of other projects together prior to forming Chromeo, building anticipation for the group’s debut. They released their debut album, She’s in Control, in 2004. The album itself garnered mostly positive reception but it was the song, “Needy Girl,” off the project that would really take off. The song became a global club hit, simultaneously putting Chromeo on the map.

The duo has since put out five studio albums, the most recent of which, Adult Contemporary, arrived just a few weeks ago. The album is their first in six years. Their last record, Head Over Heels, released in 2018, earned the group their first Grammy Award nomination for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. Having made their big return to music, Chromeo is sure to impress fans on this global tour.
