Warpaint at The Regency Ballroom on May 17

Art rock four piece, Warpaint, have announced a limited North American tour celebrating 20 years as a band! They will be making a stop in San Francisco at The Regency Ballroom on May 17.

Warpaint is vocalist and guitarist Emily Kokal, bassist Jenny Lee Lindberg, vocalist and guitarist Theresa Wayman, and drummer Stella Mozgawa. They formed on Valentine’s Day in 2004, playing shows around the Los Angeles area, eventually releasing their debut EP, Exquisite Corpse, in 2008. The band would sign with Rough Trade Records shortly after and began touring the US and Europe while simultaneously beginning work on their debut album.

The Fool was released in October 2010 to widespread critical acclaim. Warpaint toured the album extensively through the remainder of 2010 and into 2011. Their follow-up, self-titled album would arrive three years later in January 2014. Since then the band has remained sparse but intentional with their musical output. Their third album, Heads Up, was released in 2016 and their fourth LP, Radiate Like This, came out in 2022. The band celebrated 20 years on Valentine’s Day with the release of their new single, “Common Blue.”
