Echo & The Bunnymen at The Warfield on June 6

English new wave rock band, Echo & The Bunnymen have announced a 2024 North American tour celebrating their discography over 45 years as a band! The group will be making a stop in San Francisco at The Warfield on June 6.

Originally forming in 1978, Echo & The Bunnymen are from Liverpool and originally consisted of vocalist Ian McCulloch, guitarist Will Sergeant, and bassist Les Pattinson. Throughout the band’s lifetime, they have gone through many lineup changes with only McCulloch and Sergeant remaining today. The original run of the band lasted from 1978-1993 in which they released six studio albums. Throughout their first run, Echo & The Bunnymen achieved cult status through their first few albums and a number of charting singles.

Echo & The Bunnymen’s second run began after a short hiatus from 1996-1996. Since then they’ve released seven more studio albums and toured intermittently. Despite the untimely death of a number of band members and mixed reviews on some of their newer material, the band has persisted throughout the years and kept a cult following for their groundbreaking first run and undisputed influence. The band promises to play through “the very best” of their catalogue on this upcoming tour, and with a discography like theirs, it is surely an event to not be missed.
