Irish pop sensation, Niall Horan, has announced a world tour in support of his 2023 album, The Show. The appropriately title “The Show Live on Tour,” includes a stop in Mountain View at the Shoreline Amphitheater on July 26.
During his time on British reality competition show, The X Factor, Horan was teamed up with four other young musicians to form super group One Direction. The band made massive waves throughout the 2010s, becoming one of the highest selling boybands of all time and toured the world nearly nonstop for almost five years.
One Direction officially disbanded in 2015 and each of the five members, including Horan went on to pursue solo careers. Horan would release his debut single, “This Town,” in September 2016. After a number of successful other singles and the start of a world tour, he would release his debut album, Flicker, in October 2017. The album peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 and reached number one in Ireland and the Netherlands.
Horan’s follow-up to Flicker would arrive in March 2020 in the form of No Judgement, his second album. Despite being unable to tour the album due to the pandemic, Horan would remain busy throughout lockdown, releasing new music and collaborating with other musicians. His third studio album, The Show, released in June 2023 and debuted at number one in eight countries including Ireland and the UK.
