Jamila Woods at August Hall on February 4

Chicago-based singer-songwriter, Jamila Woods, has announced the Water Made Us tour for early 2024 in support of her new album of the same name. She will be making a stop in San Francisco at August Hall on February 4.

A long time poet and involved Chicago native, Jamila Woods has made a name for herself through her powerful writing that covers topics such as Black identity, feminism, self-love, and love for the city of Chicago. Before releasing her debut album, Heavn, in 2016, she made waves through her soul-pop duo, Milo and Otis, with musician Owen Hill. Additionally, Woods collaborated multiple times with Chance the Rapper as well as Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

Woods’ three studio albums, Heavn, Legacy! Legacy!, and 2023’s Water Made Us, have all received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics due to her inspiring and uplifting artistry.
