Pink Sweat$ at The Fillmore on February 26

American R&B artist, Pink Sweat$, has announced an acoustic tour across the US in February. He will be making a stop in San Francisco at The Fillmore on February 26.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1992, David Bowden, known professionally as Pink Sweat$, grew up in a religious household where he was solely allowed to listen to Christian music. His father is a minister and his mother is a gospel singer. When he was 17 years old, he began listening to hip-hop music, specifically Kanye West and 50 Cent, which eventually inspired him to pursue music as a career.

Pink Sweat$’s career began when he worked as a demo vocalist at Sigma Sound Studios. He would also produced music for artists like Florida Georgia Line and Tierra Wack. His first single as Pink Sweat$, “Honesty,” was released in 2018 and garnered quick viral success, reaching number 10 on Spotify’s US Viral Chart. He would continue drop to singles throughout 2018 and 2019, releasing two short EPs in that time. After steadily growing as an artist throughout the years and through the pandemic, he would finally drop his debut album, Pink Planet, in 2021. The follow-up to that project, Pink Moon, arrived in 2022.

While Pink Sweat$ music features a wide variety of instrumentation, he has decided to go acoustic on this upcoming tour which will make for a unique experience for longtime fans. Catch him when he plays The Fillmore on February 26! Tickets are available here
