Hot Mulligan at The UC Theatre on April 25

American emo band, Hot Mulligan, have announced the “Choose Your Fighter Tour” across the United States. They will be making a stop in Berkeley at The UC Theatre on April 25.

Hot Mulligan formed in Lansing, Michigan in 2014. They are among the largest of numerous emo bands that have come out of the midwest in recent years. The band released two EPs in 2015, Fenton and Honest & Cunning on Save Your Generation Records. Their debut full length album, Pilot, arrived in 2018 on No Sleep Records. Their follow-up, You’ll Be Fine, released in 2020 and their most recent album, Why Would I Watch, was released in May. Hot Mulligan is vocalist Nathan “Tades” Sanville, rhythm guitarist Chris Freeman, lead guitarist Ryan “Spicy” Malicsi, and drummer Brandon Blakeley.

Hot Mulligan will be joined by openers and fellow emo bands Free Throw, Just Friends, and Charmer. Free Throw is from Nashville, Tennessee and have been active since 2012. Just Friends is from Dublin, California and formed in 2013. Lead singer, Sam Kless, is also the bassist in the band Mom Jeans. Hailing from Marquette, Michigan, Charmer have been active since 2015 and even have a long history of performing with Hot Mulligan, even being on the lineup for their first show.
