Nicki Minaj at the Oakland Arena on March 1

The widely regarded “Queen of Rap,” Nicki Minaj, has announced a 2024 world tour in support of her brand new album, Pink Friday 2. She will be making a stop in Oakland at the Oakland Area on March 1.

Minaj made her breakthrough into the industry with her debut album, Pink Friday, in 2010. The album reached number 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 375,000 copies in the first week. She also turned heads with her verse on Kanye West’s critically acclaimed single, “Monster.” Minaj has built her reputation through her one of a kind style that has resulted in numerous iconic features and singles like “Super Bass” and “Anaconda.”

Minaj’s newest album, Pink Friday 2, is the long awaited follow-up to her debut. It is also her first in five years, following 2018’s, QueenPink Friday 2, sold 228,000 units in its first week, topping the Billboard 200. Even 13 years after breaking onto the scene, Minaj remains atop the throne as one of rap’s biggest stars.
